Lady in Red
I’m kind of obsessing over this look. Monochromatic color blocking at it’s finest and that’s just from looking at this lady’s rear! I wonder what’s going on in front. My gut tells me it’s a white blouse but my butt tells me it matches her pants. Thoughts? Predictions? Curiosities? What do you think is going on up front? Let me hear it!

»· Orange Soda ·«
When I was little I had a sweet love affair with Orange Soda; I was only allowed to drink it every once in awhile but every time I did I slurped it up until my lips and teeth were orange too. While I didn’t mind the artificial color on my lips, I soon realized that orange teeth were on the grosser side of the spectrum and thus my love affair with Orange Soda ended.
After years of torment and heart break, I’ve finally found a new orange lover that doesn’t stain my teeth: MAC’s ‘Morange’ lipstick. It gives my lips a bright artificial orange hue that adds the perfect pop of color to almost any look. Monochromatic orange outfit topped off with orange lips? Boom! Done! All in all it’s a nice change from the usual bright red lipstick, I just wish it tasted like orange soda…

Creep-tastic
After seeing how bad my roots were in my last outfit post (see here), I’ve been trying to cover them up with hats which happen to be one of my favorite accessories! I bought this vintage fedora a few years ago and love its androgynous style and snug fit. I wore this outfit the other day (before the snow hit) to go to a few meetings downtown and finish up some editorial deadlines at a cute little cafe in Soho. Unfortunately it was so cold outside that I was forced to photograph my outfit indoors or else all you would have seen was a big ol’ puffy jacket with my new pair of heels poking out the bottom.
I bought these Topshop heels last Friday and was a little skeptical about how comfortable they’d be but as it turns out they’re one of the most comfortable pairs of heels I own! Seriously, I could walk a marathon in these bad boys. And I love how they have that punky “creeper shoe” look to them, but become girly when paired with a billowy blouse and sheer tights. I just wish there was some traction on the sole so I could wear them more easily in the snow…
